Will my plants come potted?

If you order one of our standard gift box sets (ie. Blooming Energy Box or Prick Me, I’m Dreaming), your plant will arrive hassle-free, planted in the designated potter. 

If you order a DIY planting set, then you will receive the plant and the pot and you will do the potting yourself! Such a soothing activity :) (coming soon!) 
 

How often should I water my plant? 

Start at a frequency of once a week. HOWEVER, frequency of watering does depend on your climate, the amount of sun your plant soaks up daily and avg. temperature in your home. A good rule of thumb is to first check the soil, and if the first inch or so of soil is dry, It’s a good indication that your plant needs some water! 

Remember, you want to give your plant a good watering when it is due. (This means more than 1 tablespoon or spritz of water, but less than 1/4 cup)
Make sure the soil gets a good drink of water 😊 so your plant can find the balance!

What if I am interested in placing multiple orders?

You may order multiple boxes in one order! If you need to deliver them to separate locations, please order them separately.

We would love to help you for any occasion, such as bridal shower gifts or welcome gifts for your employees, etc. We are more than happy to streamline your order via email and send you a one-click invoice!

My order arrived damaged, what do I do? 

If this unfortunate mishap happens, then we will be happy to deliver a replacement plant! Just send over a picture of the damaged plant to shop@theniceplant.com with your order #/name. 

My plant has some dry leaves, what should I do? 

Sometimes, plants need a short adjustment window after traveling cross-country, so no worries! Give your plant a good watering and then leave-it-alone! Do not try to overcompensate for a couple dry leaves by overwatering. Normally, you can simply pluck the dry leaf to make room for happy new growth!
We also recommend you take a photo each week to compare its progress! 

If I want to get my plant the next day, what shipping should I choose? 

Select UPS Next Day Air.
USPS Priority mail for local orders (Los Angeles) will likely arrive the following day if you place your order before 3pm EST.

Should I keep my plant inside or indoors? 

We recommend keeping your plant baby indoors and then transitioning it outside after it has acclimated to a bright spot if your climate permits! Our plants were nurtured indoors so that acclimation time-frame is important. Make sure your new plant won’t get scorched outside due to extremely bright and direct sun or very high temperatures.

Do you offer pet-friendly plants?

We offer plenty of pet-friendly succulents at The Nice Plant, like our striped Zebra, Burro's tail, and Echeveria succulents! Just leave us a note when you're ready for check out so that we can send you a pet-friendly plant!

How do I open my lip balm? 

When you are ready to use your lip balm, gently push up (do not twist) from the very bottom of the tube and you are on your way to smoother, nourished lips! 

My plant's leaves have a tint of yellow, should I be worried? 

This could be a sign that you are overwatering your plant. Depending on the variety of succulent, it may be a good idea to add a few days between watering. Remember, it is better to underwater than to overwater your plant baby! (Easier to snap back from underwatering!)

What shipping carriers do you use?

We use USPS and UPS.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Once shipped, orders arrive within 1-5 business days. 
Orders are processed within 24 hours (M-F).
Orders placed before 3pm EST will be processed and shipped the same day! (We work quickly because we care!)
